What does the Pflugschule have to do with the Museum Biberach? Class 3/4/5 (Ms Kneer/Ms Reichle) explored this question together. From January to June, the pupils explored the museum and the work of the artist Johann Baptist Pflug, after whom the school is named.
After examining the original works, the pupils undertook their own practical work. Inspired by genre and robber depictions, the pupils set to work. Pflug's detailed paintings are based on pencil sketches he made on site. He combined several scenes into a new picture in a modular fashion. Following this approach, the children created »blob pictures« with paint. In a second step, they identified objects and figures in these paintings. The pupils then assembled a new picture from these many individual parts in a modular fashion. The result is 14 impressive, detailed picture stories. These can be seen as an exhibition intervention in the 17th to 19th century art department of the museum until 28 September 2025.
