Art and Cuisine with Steffen Dietze

In our series »Art and Cuisine« we cook together with artists from our collection, this time with Steffen Dietze.

His works are based on photographs, which he transforms into something completely different and new through elaborate editing, alterations and montages. Steffen Dietze uses a variety of techniques to give his work a tactile quality. He often divides his mostly large-format pictures into several individual images. Nothing in these works is documentary; his simple motifs, such as the elements of water and fire or even spaces, are removed from their original context and thus no longer have any reference to space and time.

»Art and Cuisine« offers visitors the opportunity to enter into dialogue with the artists in a different, informal way, by cooking together, as would be the case in a classic artist talk. The dishes will be suggested by the artists and will be related to their work in the broadest sense. Let yourself be surprised.
